"For many of us, the biggest investment of our life is our house. When it comes to keeping our house in good condition, maintenance is key. And equally important is who we choose to do this maintenance. The issue that I had was a leak, not a major one but a leak, nonetheless. My newly renovated house sprung a leak… yep! from my new ceiling and onto my new flooring. The leak came from the attic. I didn't want to risk the problem getting worse and causing major damage, so I did some research on Google, reached out to La Boîte C and do not regret it one bit. After a thorough inspection of the attic and the roof, François (co-owner of La Boîte C) found how and why the water got in. He also found a potential issue with how the shingles were installed at the peak of the roof (cap). The water infiltration was due to ice accumulation at the gutter level of the roof, and due to improperly installed shingles around the vent from a few years ago. During the inspection, François took pictures and videos of both the attic and the roof, all of which were provided to me. He explained what was wrong, what repairs needed to be done to prevent further damage, and what repairs should be done within the next few years (cap). He also gave us advice for the winter months which we will add to our winter maintenance routine… Three weeks later, repairs were completed. Here too, François took pictures and videos of the work he and his team had completed. My home is now safe. Suffice it to say, I know who to call when the time comes to redo my roof!
